Diane (Deedee)'s Story
Hitch-hiked to northern California with Felecia Foss and discovered Susanville (where she met her husband, Dave Linson). There I met my first husband, Jim Bryant. We became contract-truckmen for American Red Ball Transit Co. Out of Indianapolis, Ind. and we hauled furniture 48 states and Canada. It was hard work, but a blast and a great way to see the country. When Jim and I divorced, came back to San Jose and married Dave Plant, with whom I had two children; a son, Nathan and a daughter, Jessica. Dave and I divorced after 12 years. een together 25 years. I have a13-year-old granddaughter, Fallon, by my daughter, Jessica. The biggest impactors on my life have been medical: bipolar I disorder, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, osteo-arthritis (major reconstructive spinal surgery, bi-lateral hip, knee and thumb replacements), and Barrett's esophagus (which seems to be rapidly progressing to cancer.I lost my brother, Chris, to the same disease last August.) My sister, Caty, will be attending the reunion with me. I look forward to seeing all my "old" buddies there as I might not be around for the next one! Let's make some memories!
